Choosing Flowers for a wedding can be a daunting task. It is easy for florists because they work with flowers everyday of their working life but for a bride to be it can seem like a mammoth task. So we have put together some top tips to help out.

Work out and separate the must haves from the I can do without's
Work out the spaces/places that need floral displays and those that can do without
Take good quality pictures of the venue, church and the dresses, these will help the florist to get a better insight into what will and will not work
Get dimensions of every place that will be decorated with flower arrangements
Workout if your displays can double up, e.g. church displays that can be transferred to the reception
If in doubt less is more, floral displays can easily become OTT and whilst they look great on their own they do not work when is more complex surroundings or don't work with a bridal dress
The colours of the flowers must complement the dresses and surrounding areas
What the floral arrangements will look like on any wedding photographs
