Choosing Flowers for a wedding can be a daunting task. It is easy for florists because they work with flowers everyday of their working life but for a bride to be it can seem like a mammoth task. So we have put together some top tips to help out.
- Don't worry about the choice of flower if you don't know much about flowers leave that to the florist
- Be clear about the style of wedding that you wish to create, traditional, contemporary are all fine and the flower arrangements should match them have provided each page with an indication of cost.
- Work out your budget, without a clear budget it is difficult for a florist to offer clear and exact help. We
- Great things can be achieved even on small budgets you just need to find the right florist. Here is an example of how we created an interesting focal point in a dreary looking castle window at very little cost.

- Work out and separate the must haves from the I can do without's
- Work out the spaces/places that need floral displays and those that can do without
- Take good quality pictures of the venues and the dresses
- Make sure if you are using flower arrangements at the reception, church... that there are pictures for the florist to work from
- Get dimensions of every place that will be decorated with flower arrangements
- Workout if your displays can double up, e.g. church displays that can be transferred to the reception
- If in doubt less is more, floral displays can easily become OTT and whilst they look great on their own they do not work when is more complex surroundings or don't work with a bridal dress
- The colours of the flowers must complement the dresses and surrounding areas
- What the floral arrangements will look like on photographs
